Health and safety
What you find on the Metsa Noma™ website and in the community app is general and educational information. It is not medical advice or a medical recommendation. Before you take part in an event or apply teachings from Metsa Noma™, check with your healthcare provider that it is right for your health and circumstances.
Article 1. Accepting these terms
1.1 By joining our community you accept these terms, from the moment you sign up.
1.2 Only these terms apply. We do not accept other terms and conditions.
1.3 We may update these terms. If you do not agree with a change, email info@metsanoma.com within 14 days. If we do not hear from you, we assume you agree.
1.4 You must be 18 or older to join the online membership. If you are younger, someone who is 18 or older must place the order for you. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Article 2. Your membership
2.1 Our agreement starts when you have signed up and received our confirmation email and login details.
2.2 Offers are valid while they are available and while we have capacity.
2.3 The price at sign-up is the price you commit to, unless something changes. We will tell you if it does.
2.4 If an agreement or confirmation contains a mistake, we have the right to correct it.
2.5 Prices can change because of external factors. We will keep you informed.
2.6 You may need to set up a profile on our platform to use certain features.
2.7 We expect everyone to treat one another with respect. Inappropriate behaviour can lead to suspension or deletion of your profile.
Article 3. Payments
3.1 Your Premium Membership includes a free first month. After that it renews automatically every month, and we collect the monthly fee in advance at the start of each new month. Payments run through SEPA Direct Debit, iDEAL and credit card. Please make sure your account has enough funds.
3.2 If you reverse a SEPA Direct Debit, or if we cannot collect the amount for any other reason, you still owe the fee. You may also be charged up to EUR 12.50 per incident.
3.3 If you do not pay on time, we send you a reminder and give you another 14 days. If you still have not paid after that, you are in default without further notice.
3.4 If payments stay outstanding after reminders, we may start a collection process. You then pay the amount due plus statutory interest, and the out-of-court and court costs, including collection fees in accordance with the law.
3.5 Payments towards an outstanding balance first cover the costs, then the statutory interest, and finally the amount owed.
3.6 You may not withhold or set off any amount you owe to Metsa Noma™.
3.7 If you do not meet your payment obligations, we may suspend our services or end the agreement.
Article 4. What your membership gives you, and our content
4.1 As a member you get access to our content, community and special events. Your membership is tied to your profile.
4.2 We own the content and intellectual property on our platform. You may not reproduce or share it without permission.

4.4 By taking part in a recorded session you give us the right to use that recording within our platform.
4.5 If you appear in a recorded session, you give Metsa Noma™ a non-exclusive licence to use that recording, including your image or likeness, within our platform and to promote our community. You can withdraw this consent for future use at any time by contacting us.
4.6 We handle your personal data with care and in line with the GDPR. You can read how in our privacy statement.

5.4 Your Premium Membership gives immediate access to digital content and services. By signing up you agree that we may start this during the 14-day period, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully delivered. If you withdraw before the period ends, we may charge a proportionate amount for what you have already used.

Part two: ceremonies, retreats and Master Plant Dietas
Accepting these terms
By clicking "Register" you accept these terms in full. This creates a binding agreement between you and Metsa Noma™ about your participation in ceremonies, retreats and Master Plant Dietas. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms before you register. You can only take part if you accept them, including the preparation requirements, admission criteria and health and safety information.
Your health
The information Metsa Noma™ provides, on the website, in the Metsa Noma™ Tribe app or in any other way, is educational and informational. It does not replace professional medical advice. Consult a healthcare provider before you start anything new for your health or take part in an event. By taking part you show that you understand the risks and have made an informed decision.
Do your own research
Besides reading what we provide, you are expected to do your own research into the nature of the events, the possible health risks and benefits, and the cultural and spiritual context. Look further than Metsa Noma™ as well, for example at scientific studies, experiences of past participants and relevant literature. Base your decision on all of this together.
What you can expect from us
We want every participant in our ceremonies, retreats and Master Plant Dietas in Europe and Peru to have a safe experience, and we guide you before, during and after. We use clear guidelines and preparation instructions, so that we rarely have to refuse someone.
- Before: we provide preparation materials and guidelines through the Metsa Noma™ Tribe app and in your confirmation email, including the Info Vault. Dieteros in Peru also get a dedicated section in the app and the relevant documents by email.
- During: we hold the space, and we look after a safe and supportive environment for your inner process.
- After: we help you integrate your experience into daily life and remain available for questions and support.
- Communication: this mainly runs through the Metsa Noma™ Tribe app and our email list for subscribers.
- Admission: we assess whether you meet the admission criteria, and we can refuse participation if you do not.
Admission and preparation
- Age: you must be at least 21 years old to take part in our events.
- Your background: you give us the essential information about your medical and psychological background and your motivation. Depending on your situation, we may ask for written consent or advice from your treating physician.
- Abstinence: before the event you abstain from alcohol for 7 days, and from drugs, specific medications and other harmful substances for at least 21 days, depending on your situation.
- Deadline: if you do not meet the admission requirements 21 days before the event, we can refuse your participation.
- Calling: we only encourage you to register if you feel a deep calling to work with Sacred Plants and are fully committed to preparing well.
When we can refuse participation
- If you did not keep to the abstinence periods above.
- If your motivation for taking part is not sincere and appropriate.
- If your preparation is insufficient in a way that could endanger you or others, or if you or Metsa Noma™ have general doubts.
If we refuse your participation after you have reserved, or if you cancel, costs may be charged in line with our cancellation policy.
What you declare when you register
By registering and paying a deposit for an event of Metsa Noma™, including ceremonies, retreats and Master Plant Dietas in Europe and Peru, you declare that you understand and agree with the following:
- Risks: any activity can be dangerous and carries risks, both from the activity itself and from natural and human-made hazards. You accept these risks and you are solely responsible for your own safety and equipment. You understand how important it is to be physically and mentally prepared and to have the right equipment.
- Personal responsibility: only you can assess your abilities in relation to the conditions you may meet, such as those in the jungle, and only you decide how to act.
- Voluntary participation: you choose to take part voluntarily, and you know about the possible dangers and risks that could lead to illness, injury or death.
- No claims: you accept all risks of illness, injury or death. You promise not to sue, and you release and indemnify Metsa Noma™, including its owners, agents, employees, contractors and others involved in the programme, from any claim for injury, loss or damage arising from your participation, whatever the cause.
- Independent contractors: Metsa Noma™ uses independent contractors for services during a retreat. Metsa Noma™ has no control over their actions and is not responsible for them.
- Disputes in Peru: disputes about your participation in events in Peru are settled in Pucallpa, Peru.
- Binding: this agreement also binds your heirs, executors, administrators and family members, including minors who accompany you.
- Informed: you have read all the information about the programmes, retreats and events, and you agree to the conditions in the Reservation & Payment Information, including your responsibilities and obligations as a participant.
- Photos: you give Metsa Noma™ the absolute right to publish and republish photos or likenesses of you taken during the retreat, in all media.
- Costs: you bear all costs of any necessary evacuation or medical care.
- Separate organisations: Metsa Noma™ in the Netherlands is legally independent from Centro Metsa Noma in Peru. Each operates on its own, with its own responsibilities and liabilities. Centro Metsa Noma is led by Maestro Sany Meny (Wilter Javier Lopez Romayna) and is named after Daphne Metsa Noma.
You declare that you have carefully read, understood and agreed with these terms, and that you take responsibility for preparing and taking part in a safe and responsible way, fully accepting the risks and conditions involved.
